yea he tried to shoot the warthog over the barrels so he lost a lot of time. You must never try that. Just stap out of the car and run. It's not that far. P.S.: At the beginning, there lies a warthog burning: 0:16. I always take that car ;) much cooler driving a burning car. Still you need to watch out couse some of the covenant wear fuel rods and can shoot at you when you climb into the car.

this ending took me forever not :you do not need to beat whole game on legendary in order to get ending just this mission.

I have surround sound (Dolby Digital 5.1), and this sequence sounds amazing. Let me see, you hear one explosion behind you, another to your right, surround sound is amazing. And this Warthog Run is incredible in Surround Sound.
